MDNBLOG's ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

31 MARCH 2013

It is MDNBLOG’s one-year anniversary. Even though our first video was uploaded on 11 September 2013, we decided we would celebrate our one-year on the day we registered our YouTube account.

We can’t believe how much time has flown by and how far we have gotten since Day 1. There are people out there who watch us everyday and that’s something that we still struggle to fathom.

MDNBLOG began as a platform to share our travelling adventures. Little did we know that this channel would become a huge factor in our lives… something that has allowed us to foster our creativity, dreams, and hopes. We can see the opportunities that MDNBLOG can and will open for us and we will continue to cease the chances in order to continue to do what we are passionate about. MDNBLOG has grown more than just a travelling adventure, it has enabled us to expand and continue to expand the way we want it to.

Through MDNBLOG, we have communicated with people all around the world, sharing the same interests as us. We are very thankful to everyone who has watched our videos. Every view, thumbs up, comment and subscriber motivates us more and more to work harder on our channel and blog, for it to be bigger and better.

Although it’s already been a year, it is just the beginning. We still have a long way to go! Despite being busy with our other commitments including University, we will continue to work on MDNBLOG in order to drive it to the direction where we want to see it go. We hope you will continue to support and follow us.

DIEMZ, I LOVE YOU. To the moon and back and around and around and around.
& Z3113Z, I love you too! I am so grateful to be able to do this with my best friend and I can’t wait to see where this will take us.

Forever and always,

MDN.

Small Drugstore Haul

Chemist Warehouse was having a 50% off all drugstore products. I contemplated if I should go because I still have quite a few products that I haven’t opened from South Korea. After a lot of thinking I decided… yes. I need to go. I have been working non-stop, essay after essay, for the past few weeks and I think it was time to reward myself.

I picked up some items, mainly ones that I have been on my wish list for quite some time.

1. “Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation” in #100 Ivory @$9.98
I was not planning to purchase a foundation however there was a special on where with a purchase of a Rimmel foundation, you get a bronzer for free. This is such a good deal on top of the 50%. I choose the Wake Me Up Foundation in #100 Ivory. Hopefully this matches my skin tone. I won’t open this just yet though, because I have other foundations and bb creams that I want to focus on using. Maybe in a month or two.

2. “Rimmel London Match Perfection Bronzer” in #002 Medium @ Free Gift
This bronzer on my wish lists because a lot of people have raved about it. And with that special going on, why not?!

3. “Rimmel London Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder” in #005 Silky Beige @ $6.47
I have combination skin, where my t-zone gets pretty oily throughout the day so powder is a must for me. Yet again, I’ve been wanting this for quite some time because I’ve heard a lot of good reviews about it. Hopefully it will keep my face matte and that it will last throughout the day. Fingers crossed.

4. “Maybelline Color Tattoo by Eyestudio” in #25 Bad to the Bronze @$5.95
I am sure everyone has heard of this cream shadow. Decided to purchase colour #25 because it is a neutral brown that I can use on a normal day and can easily match with anything.

5. “Batiste Dry Shampoo” in Floral & Flirty Blush @ $4.99
Dry shampoo is a hair product that I need. Even if my hair isn’t oily. It is great product to use to have some volume in my hair. This was only $4.99 when its original price is $14.99!

. . . . . . . .

I’m going to ban myself from purchasing any make-up products for the next… forever. Can I do this?

Yes… (please please please I can do this, I can do this, IF I KEEP TELLING MYSELF MAYBE I CAN DO IT)

Much love,
Michelle, Michelle, Michelle, MICHELLE.

MICHELLE'S WISH LIST #1

Hello, hello everyone!
I decided to take a break from my assessments and make a post on my current wish list. I love beauty products and my list is never ending. However, these four products have recently caught my eye and I want it so much!

1. ARITAUM: HONEY MELTING TINT
Product Description:
- Honey melting formula melting on top of lips.
- Collagen content give no smudging clean lip line.
- Natural flower extract giving vital healthy looking lips with protection.
I love lip products and my have a slight obsession with them. I have tried Aritaum's World Glam Coating Tint and I really like it so I want to try other products from Aritaum. Aritaum released a new set of tints not too long ago called the Honey Melting Tint. I've looked at some swatches of these tints and... the finish looks so glossy and creamy! I'll definitely get my hand on these... one day.

2. INNISFREE: MINERAL MELTING BB CUSHION
Product Desecription:
- Pat lightly with a puff to create mo isturized, illuminating and smooth skin.
- Jeju green tea water controls oil and moisture balance to create refreshing skin without stickiness.
- Cover holding system remains adhesive cover for hours.
- Creates bright skin for hours without darkening.
- SPF 50+, PA+++ protects skin to be healthy against UV rays.

I have not tried any BB Cushions yet (I have one, but still haven't opened it) but I have heard the Innisfree BB cushions are really good. This particular mineral Melting BB Cushion by Innisfree has been popping up a lot lately on Youtube and on blogs. As a result... it is something I want to try out in the future.

3. INNISFREE: SKINNY WATERPROOF MICROCARA
Product Desecription:
- Trip coating film offers coating to lashes to remain clean lashes for hours.
- Brush of 2.5mm in diameter reaches to the areas where you can't easily to create vivid look.
- Black Polymer System that won't get lump when re-applying.

I have awfully short straight lashes (Sadly I don't have god-gifted eyelashes that are long and curled like Diemz - she doesn't even need to use the eyelash curler!). So it is quite hard for me to find the perfect mascara that keeps the curl and gives me length. This mascara has a very, very, thin brush, hence the name Microcara. Because the wand it so small, you can apply the a mascara to areas such as the inner eyelashes where it tends to be shorter - which is a problem that I have. Additionally, it gives a natural finish which would be good for a every-day mascara.

4. BANILA CO.: PRIME PRIMER CLASSIC MATTE

Product Description:
It makes natural and silky skin texture from skin with pores and wrinkles and maintain freshness makeup condition.

If you didn't know, a primer can make such a huge difference to your make-up. I have oily-combination skin and I tend to get really oily on my t-zone... so my makeup doesn't last that long. HOWEVER with primer it lasts for suchhhh a long time. I have heard good reviews about Banila Co's Prime Primer Classic Matte. This is something I'm definitely planning to invest, maybe once I use up my current primer (The Faceshop's Velvet Skin Primer

. . . . . . . .

And that is it!
I hope you like this post - especially the collage at the beginning of the post because I'm really proud of the results. If you like these kind of posts, let me know down on the comments below. I am planning to do these once in a while - and will force Diemz to do these too.

If you have any beauty recommendations - let me know too.

We will gradually update this blog more - we have been really busy with University, however the semester is finishing sooooooon. So... you should definitely anticipate for more awesome blog posts. ^^

Okay, I shall now go back to my studies...

Much love,
Michelle.
