Behind the Blog

An About page is an essential section to every blog, and it's finally time that we made one! You can check out the about page by clicking here... or just keep reading down below.

We're Diemmy and Michelle, two best friends who run the blog and YouTube Channel called 'MDNBLOG'.

We met in High School through the school cafe back in 2010 and we've been friends ever since. We decided to create 'MDNBLOG' in 2013 since we were travelling to South Korea and wanted to vlog our experience. Eventually, our ideas grew. 'MDNBLOG' is now a platform where we share our interests through videos and posts - such as clothing, beauty, k-pop, lifestyle and travelling.

 About Michelle:
I'm Michelle, and I never realised how hard it is to write an About Me page until now. How can you possibly describe yourself within a few sentences? This took me quite some time to write, but here goes nothing...

Well for starters, I'm 18 years old. If I was to describe myself in three words I would say I am - funny, childish and expressive. And when I say I am expressive, I mean I am very expressive. I always jump. Skip. Arms in the air. Once I've been told that my reactions are like an anime character.

I'm currently a 2nd year University student, undertaking the Bachelor of Arts/Education. There's a lot of people out there who look back and think not highly of their high school years, but for me, I loved High School. I had amazing friends and teachers who has greatly influenced me. This is why I'm studying to be a High School teacher - English and History. I really do want to teach at the High School I attended.

I love to read. One of my life goals is to have my own personal library at home. I love make-up and skincare products. Not because I am insecure without make-up, but I just find the process of applying make-up to be very fun and calming. I am sure most of you understand what I am saying!

Ever since I was young, I had an interest in blogging, photography and videography. This is why I am very happy with MDNBLOG. Not only am I doing things I have a passion for, I'm doing it with my best friend. The best of both worlds!

I love my family. I love my friends. I am a massive fan of TVXQ and CNBLUE. My ultimate, ultimate love is Yunho from TVXQ. My second love is Minhyuk from CNBLUE.

And lastly, I am the better of MDN. Just kidding... Am I really? Hehe.

 About Diemmy:
Hello there! I'm Diemmy and a fun fact about me is that my name is actually spelt 'Diem My'. It's a Vietnamese name, and my Omma told me that she gave me this name due to being obsessed with a Vietnamese singer by the same name while I was in her tummy.

Currently I am undertaking a Bachelor's Degree of Arts and Business - my first year actually. I'm not quite sure what I want to do with my degree, but at this very moment I want to possibly become a Humanities High School teacher. But who knows? My career path may change as I progress in life. But my real and absolute passion lies within this very platform - MDNBLOG, and South Korea. I would love to continue to work on MDNBLOG and have the opportunity to share my ideas and love for things here with my bestfriend, Michelle. Other than that, living and immersing into South Korea and it's culture is also one of my ultimate life goals. I would also love to travel more and experience other cultures, as I see this as something that would enhance my life as a human being! (Why does this sound so deep and meaningful?)

If I was to describe myself, I would say I am a very stressful person yet, organised at the same time. Does that sound logical? I'm also an overthinker and super super indecisive. But that makes me, me. I'm quite shy and socially awkward but once you get to know me... there's no holding back. Also, I cannot go a day without talking to myself. I actually have conversations with myself where I respond to yes, myself. Haha.

I love my family, friends and of course, FOOD. Other things that I love include cats, baking and cleaning (yes, that sounds weird but I love to clean).

And of course, I put the D in MDN!
